Day 8 - High Hesket to Shap

Another day walking through the Eden Valley finishing in Shap.

First thing this morning we were contacted by a suicide-bereaved mum offering her encouragement and support, she had lost her daughter 5 weeks ago and today was the day of the funeral.

We were stopped in our tracks, we replied with our deepest condolences and to say that sadly she is not alone. We spoke about the importance of finding comfort in talking openly and reaching out for help. She, and her family were in our thoughts all day.

A salient reminder why we are doing this walk.
