Pride of Manchester

Pride of Manchester 13th May 2022

Mike was one of the Pride of Manchester winners with a Special Recognition Award presented by Ricky Hatton and Rebecca Adlington. It was a star-studded night with a red carpet, champagne and plenty of glamour.

Being only one third of 3 Dads Walking Mike felt he was accepting the award on behalf of 3 Dads Walking and made sure Andy and Tim got lots of mentions.

The ceremony was presented by Kym Marsh and she ably let Mike talk candidly about Beth, 3 Dads Walking, Papyrus and suicide prevention. There was not a dry eye in the house. The hint that there was another project in the making grabbed everyone’s attention.

Conversation around poor mental health and suicide continued into the night and it is a reality that people struggle on all levels of the social scale.

A truly wonderful evening that might lead to the Pride of Britain for the 3 Dads but Mike was truly humbled to share the stage with some very special human beings.
