Day 11 Loving Lincolnshire

Dropped off by Nigel in the early morning gloom – lashing rain, we were in full waterproofs not particularly looking forward to the day ahead….

By the time it came light the rain had eased and we were able to get back to t-shirts & shorts.

The mud fields weren’t fun…but the tracks & lanes of Lincolnshire were a pleasure. We were joined by an array of people throughout the day – the conversation kept our minds off tired legs & blisters.

Another suicide-bereaved dad walked the full route with us today, he lost his son in March; he joined us to talk about his experience, our stories and possible ways ahead. A father trying to find a positive way forward, hopefully we’ve helped him begin to think about how to build a legacy for his son.

Don’t tell anyone...but we took a couple of shortcuts. Must have saved a couple of miles. We felt we deserved it as we’ve walked farther than expected each day so far.

Day 12 tomorrow….
