George’s Poster

Helping 3 Dads Walking has inspired George (Sophie’s mum) to do a reprint of her beautiful poster in aid of PAPYRUS. Here’s what she said:

It is nearly 3 years since Sophie took her own life. Much has happened since that tragic and devastating event in our lives. We as a family have moved on in our own way but the pain is still acute as is the huge loss of our darling Sophie.

As we repeatedly say, Andy, Fiona, Gregor and myself are committed to helping prevent other families going through the terrible grief and loss that we experience each day. To that end we reach out to you to support the work of PAPYRUS in any way you see fit.

During May and June 2019, I walked the Way of St James (Camino) from St Jean Piet de Port in the French Pyrenees to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain in Sophie’s memory.

Along the 500-mile route I was captivated by doors, be they humble or very ornate. On returning from Spain, I was encouraged to produce a calendar and poster featuring many of these doors. Hundreds of calendars and posters were sold in the run into Christmas 2019 raising over £10,000 for PAPYRUS.

Having watched Andy, Mike & Tim complete their 3 Dads Walking challenge I was inspired to reprint the posters. All profits from the sale of the posters will be gratefully received by PAPYRUS.

Thank you for your support.
