George Airey

On Tuesday 13th December, George, who was Sophie’s mum, passed away. This was a day after what would have been Sophie’s 33rd birthday and 6 days short of the 4th anniversary of Sophie’s death. What was already an incredible difficult time of year for George’s loved ones just got more difficult.

George was an incredibly powerful lady who positively impacted so many people’s lives. Way before the 3 Dads met, George had walked the Camino Trail, producing a calendar and poster to raise money in memory of Sophie for Papyrus. She set an example which we followed. George was a key supporter of ours, both walking with us and hosting us so generously in Kendal. She knew that our work, to prevent young people taking their own lives in memory of her beautiful daughter Sophie, would continue after her passing.

George, you will be sorely missed but remembered forever.
