Along the way they talk about Andy’s Cumbrian childhood, growing up in the Lakeland village of Threlkeld and his love of the Lakes. Climbing higher on Blencathra the conversation turns to Sophie, her introduction to walking and how she too became a keen fell walker. Andy explains that Sophie’s suicide threw his family into turmoil, how they began to rebuild their lives and how meeting two other suicide-bereaved dads helped him and many others.
